  • The Generals broke the tie in the top of the third to retake a one-run lead.
  • In the bottom of the fourth, back-to-back doubles by Hunter Andrews and Owen Lawn tied the game at 2-2. After a passed ball, Jacob Bonzon reached on an error as Lawn scored to give the Maroons their first lead of the afternoon, 3-2.
  • A seven-run bottom of the fifth was highlighted by home runs by Conner Butler and Troy Ferrell as well as a 2-run triple by Bonzon.
  • The Generals added a pair of sixth inning runs. In the bottom half, Roanoke got another Cocolis long ball followed by a 3-run home run by Lawn to add to their advantage.
  • In the bottom of the seventh, the Maroons would plate eight runs on five hits and a General error to put the game out of reach. Smith had a bases clearing triple to cap the eight-run explosion.
  • Will Turner got the win by going seven innings, giving up eight hits, three earned runs all while striking out three.
  • Cocolis was a perfect 4-4, with three runs and two RBI to go with his two home runs. Smith, Butler, and Bonzon each drove in four runs with 13 different Maroons crossing home plate.
