How it Happened:

  • Roanoke scored a trio of goals in the first half, all just over 10 minutes apart beginning with Rebecca's Schmidt who found the back of the cage just 10:57 into the contest.
  • Ten minutes later, Shelbi Holloman doubled RC's score off a pass from Kellie Jasinski.
  • Megan Diehl put the Maroons up 3-0 before the end of the first-half with an unassisted goal at the 30:47 mark.
  • Fiona Dougan tacked on a pair of goals just five minutes apart in the second-half, securing Roanoke's fifth straight win.
  • Goalkeeper Heather Schauder recorded one save in 57 minutes of play while Emma Clark appeared in goal for the final 13 minutes.
  • The win marks the first 5-0 start for the Maroons in 2002.
