Eisenhart and Roncone Named Scholars of Distinction by NFHCA

Salem, Va. – A pair of Roanoke College standout student-athletes have been named as Scholars of Distinction by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) on Wednesday.

Both Claire Eisenhart and Claudia Roncone were named as Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Scholars of Distinction for having at least a 3.90 cumulative GPA following the completion of the 2018 fall semester.

Eisenhart is a freshman from Mullica Hill, N.J. and is a mathamatics major. On the field, she scored one goal and added three assists in her first season with RC.

Roncone is a freshman from Newark, Del., and is majoring in business at RC. She scored two goals and dished out two assists for the Maroons this season.

The laurels for Eisenhart and Roncone are the latest for the program that had 12 team members named to the ZAG Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad last week.
