Salem, Va. – With three points in a double overtime win over Bridgewater on Tuesday night, Roanoke College's Emilee Wooten became just the third player in program history to record 100 career points.

Wooten and the Maroons found themselves down 2-0 early in the second-half on Tuesday before the junior from Laytonsville, Md., one-timed a shot off a penalty corner to get RC on the board.

After the Maroons tied the game late, Wooten would set up Lauren Heffron for a goal just over two and half minutes into the second overtime period to give Roanoke the win and secure her 100th career point.

Wooten joins Karen Spicer who recorded 122 points on 52 goals and 18 assists from 1987-1990 and Shelbi Holloman who holds the program record after posting 128 points (56g, 16a) from 2013-16, to eclipse the 100 career point mark. Wooten currently has 100 points on 41 goals and 18 assists.

This season Wooten has 12 goals which is tops on the team and tied for second-best in the ODAC rankings. Four of Wooten's goals have proved to be game-winners which is tops in the league. She also has six assists which is fourth most in the ODAC, while her 30 total points ranks third.

As a sophomore she was named Second-Team All-South Region by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA), First-Team All-ODAC and Second-Team All-State by the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID).

Wooten capped her second season with Roanoke by registering 32 points which ranked fourth most in the ODAC. She scored 13 goals which was fifth best in the ODAC, while her six assists were sixth highest in the league. Four of her 13 goals proved to be of the game-winning variety.

As a freshman she was named Second-Team All-ODAC and Second-Team All-State by VaSID. Wooten made an immediate impact during her first year in Salem, ranking in the top-five in the ODAC in goals (16) and points (38).

Wooten and the Maroons are currently 8-6 on the season and will host Shenandoah at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
