Roanoke College’s Josh Freund has been named a Second-Team All-American by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) as the organization announced its yearly awards on Thursday.
Roanoke fell in the ODAC Men’s Basketball Championship game on Sunday to Emory & Henry by the score of 72-70. Roanoke, which was making its first tournament finals appearance since 2007, closes its season with 20 wins (20-8) for the first time since 2000-01 season.
Second-seeded Roanoke College’s 11th win in a row earns them a trip to the 2018 ODAC Men’s Basketball Championship game as RC topped Washington and Lee 82-72 Saturday night in semifinal action. The Maroons will face Emory & Henry at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday for the championship.
