Salem, Va. – Roanoke College's Josh Freund has been named First-Team All-South Region by D3hoops.com.
The reigning ODAC Player of the Year, Freund was named First-Team All-District earlier this week by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Freund finished his junior campaign averaging 18.4 points-per-game and 10.4 rebounds-per-game. He led the ODAC in field goal percentage, knocking down 60.1% of his shots from the field.
Roanoke and Freund earned a 20-8 record and advanced to the championship game of the ODAC Tournament. During the 2018 season, the Maroons earned a No. 8 ranking in the NCAA South Region for the first time since 2015-16.
