Four Maroons Named USILA All-Americans; Davies Named Nation's Top Goalie

SALEM, Va. – Four Roanoke College lacrosse standouts have been named All-Americans by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) including Ian Davies who was named the Ensign C. Markland Kelly, Jr. National Goalie of the Year.

Davies was named a First-Team All-American along with IV Stucker. Conn Curry was a second-team choice and Jason Sarro was named an Honorable Mention All-American.

A First-Team All-ODAC selection, Davies posted an ODAC best 220 saves. He also ranked first with a 57.0 save percentage and third in goals-against-average with a 9.24 mark. Davies joins John Neurohr (1980) and Bill Pilat (1985) as Maroons to be named the top goalie in the nation.

Stucker caps his career with his third consecutive All-American honor and his first, first-team accolade. A three-time First-Team All-ODAC selection, Stucker ranked in the top-10 in the ODAC in points, goals and assists this season. His 67 points are sixth best in the league, while his 37 goals are ninth and his 30 assists are seventh-best.

Curry closes his career with his third All-American honor and his second, second-team award. A three-time First-Team All-ODAC honoree, Curry had 25 caused turnovers on the season which was second in the ODAC, while he picked up 52 groundballs which were 17th most in the league.

Sarro garners his second straight honorable mention All-Ameircan accolade. He was named First-Team All-ODAC after finishing the season with 83 total points which ranks second in the ODAC. He led the league with 43 assists and his 40 goals is sixth most in the league.
