The Lead: Roanoke opened the All Sports Café / Roanoke Invitational with a 10-0 victory over Regent on Saturday afternoon.
How it Happened:
- Liam Camilleri scored the first goal of the game at the 8:42 mark and then would double the score just under three minutes later, making it 2-0.
- Unassisted goals by Isaac Wolf and Jon-Cody Mactutus at 29:55 and 31:53, respectively gave RC a 4-0 advantage.
- Wolf would strike again in the 35th minute before a Nate Carey strike made it 6-0 in the 38th minute.
- Mactutus and Joey D'Amour would each score in the closing minutes of the half to give RC a 8-0 lead at halftime.
- Roanoke outshot Regent 24-7 and held a 16-0 edge in corner kicks.
- Mactutus, Wolf and Gabriel Hendi each scored two goals for RC in the win.
- The 10 goals is the second most in progam history only to the 12 goals put up against Southern Virginia last season.
