The Lead: No. 18 Roanoke remained unbeaten with a 3-0 win over Shenandoah on Saturday.
How it Happened
- Roanoke got the only goal it would need in the 24th minute when Atticus Cooke and Isaac Wolf teamed up to feed a pass to Liam Camilleri who scored at point blank range to give RC a 1-0 lead.
- RC doubled its advantage in the 53rd minute when it was Camilleri who set up Wolf for a shot in the middle of the box that he was able to use his right foot to put the ball in the back of the net.
- The Maroons got their third goal of the match in the 62nd minute when Alec Taitague curled a crossing pass to the middle of the box where Dylan Berk was able to get his head on it and score to make it 3-0.
- Roanoke led in shots 20-5 and had a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.
- Zach Behe had two saves for RC, while Michael Romeo made four stops for SU.
