The Lead: The Maroons were back in action with a trip to Lynchburg to face Randolph College. The WildCats would race out to a 4-0 lead, but furious Roanoke rally in the finals ten minutes would see the Maroons come up one goal short as they fell on the road.

  • With just over seven minutes to play before the half, the WildCats would add another score to take a 2-0 advantage into the break.
  • A 15 minute stretch during the middle part of the second frame would see the home team build a 4-0 lead.
  • Roanoke would get on the board when Jake Berecz scored with a little over seven minutes on the clock.
  • Just over a minute later, Chris Jerrild cut the deficit to two with his first goal of the season.
  • With 1:20 left to play Gabriel Hendi brought the Maroons to within a single goal but RC ran out of time and fell on the road.
  • All three Roanoke scores were unassisted. In net, Jacob Humer got the start, recording four saves.

Up next: The Maroons return home on Sunday for an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match with Randolph-Macon.
