The Lead: Roanoke competed at the Dr. Jack Toms Invite Friday in Lynchburg, Va.
Highlights:
- Mara Briggs won the high jump, clearing the 1.63m mark.
- In the 100m, Quinn Harlan recorded a first-place time of 12.28.
- Jennifer Barthol crossed the 5000m finish line first with a time of 19:49.62.
- Jennifer Calascione tossed an 11.90m in the shot put for second place followed by a third-place toss of 38.12m in the discus.
- Claire Trotto finished second in the pole vault with a 3.20m followed by Elleri Vitwar 3.05m in fourth.
- Nicole Moughrabi placed third in the hammer with a mark of 37.71m.
- Bailey Parks took third in the triple with a 10.65m.
- In the javelin, Roanoke took sixth and seventh with a 27.73m from Grace Carll and a 24.89m from Amber Harraden.
- Alexis Mattson recorded a top-three finish in the 800m with a time of 2:24.18.
- Lucas Jones took seventh in the hammer with a mark of 33.21m.
- With a mark of 3.80m, Dillon Kopec took fifth in the pole vault.
- Howard Daniels crossed the 5K finish line in 15:33.41
- In the 400m hurdles, Xavier O'Brien recorded a top-three finish with a time of 57.41.
