The Basics

Meet: WildCat invite
Location: Lynchburg, Va.

The Lead: Roanoke traveled to Randolph College to compete in the WildCat Invite April 13-14 in Lynchburg, Va.

Men's Highlights:

  • Kyle Bland and Kaleb Bland took second and third in the hammer with marks of 34.05m and 33.31m, respectively. Kyle Bland also tossed a 37.34m in the discus for third.
  • Dillon Kopec recorded a 3.80m in the pole vault for fifth.
  • Tanner Burton clocked a 15.63 in the 110m hurdles for second place.
  • In the 1500m, Nathan Willis finished in fourth with a time of 4:15.82.
  • With a time of 51.51. Mykal Dawkins placed fourth in the 400m.
  • Micah Ray (22.95) and Aaron Rogers (23.18) took fourth and fifth in the 200m.

Women's Highlights

  • Claire Trotto tallied a 3.18m in the pole vault for third followed by Louise Tester with a 3.03m in fourth.
  • Madison Padgett placed fourth in the high jump with a mark of 1.37m.
  • Jayna Jean-Jules and Elizabeth Knudsen took second and third in the hammer with marks of 45.88m and 41.01m, respectively. Jean-Jules tossed a 31.99m in the discus to take third place.
  • Knudsen tossed a 28.33m in the javelin good for fifth.
  • Haylee McGuire crossed the finish line first in the 5000m with a time of 21:50.82.
