The Lead: Roanoke recorded three top-15 finishes in its season-opener at West Virginia Tech Friday night.
Highlights:
- Hannah Koepfinger led the way for the women with a 12th place finish with a time of 16:47.3.
- Alexis Mattson took 25th, in the field of 69 runners, crossing the finish line with a time of 14:41.
- With a time of 18:29.0, Olivia Farley took 38th followed by Carly Schepacarter with a time of 19:22.8.
- Peter Smith led the Maroons on the men's side with a top-ten finish time of 12:58.19, taking eighth.
- Chamberlain Zulauf finished just 12 seconds later in 14th with a time of 13:10.23.
- Tyler Wilson crossed the finish line in 13:29.91 for 24th and with a time of 13:35.05, Nathaniel Willis finished 29th.
