The Lead: The Maroons faced Christopher Newport in the first game of the regional championship. Roanoke would rally in the top of the third but would fall short of scoring a run to tie the game.
Highlights:
- The Maroons held the captains to 4 scoreless innings before they were able to push a run across.
- With hopes of a rally in the top of the sixth the maroons were able to put runners on the corner but were unable to push across the run. The Captains were able to add two more runs in the bottom of the sixth to secure the win.
- Molly Epperson went 2 for 3 on the day.
