2004: As a freshman, Hanson surprised many with her play in the field late in the season. A natural goalie, Hanson was moved to the field to better utilize her athletic ability. The Blacksburg, VA native was the 2005 ODAC women's basketball Freshman of the Year.
High School: Played basketball and soccer at Blacksburg HS… earned first-team all-state honors in basketball and soccer and was Second-Team All-Timesland.
