The Lead: Roanoke dropped a 3-0 decision to Lynchburg in ODAC Women's Soccer action.
How it Happened:
- Lynchburg scored seven minutes into the contest off a goal from Emily Sanchez to take the lead.
- Kathryn Van Orden fired off shots at the 14-minute and the 18-minute mark but was unable to find the back of the net as Delia LoSapio made two saves.
- Sarah Wescott scored at the 34-minute mark as the Hornets took the 2-0 advantage into the intermission.
- In the second half, Caitlin Mertens rounded out the scoring with a goal with 30 minutes left on the clock.
- Chris Martin made seven saves in goal for the Maroons.
- Lynchburg held an 18-10 advantage in shots and a 6-2 edge in corners.
