Martin Named First Team All ODAC

For the third consecutive season, Chris Martin was named to the All ODAC First Team as a goalkeeper. Martin was joined by five teammates honored by the league for their efforts during the 2019 season.

The senior from Blacksburg was honored as the top keeper in the conference, finishing her final collegiate season by recording 75 saves and an ODAC leading .862 save percentage. The senior earned 13 wins, second in the conference, and was in goal for all or part of the Maroon's 10 shutouts during the year.

Roanoke would see a pair of players earn second team honors. Lucy Perry and Eliza Ryan each were selected to the second team. It was the second consecutive second-team designation for Perry, a junior midfielder, who finished the season with two goals and three assists. It was also Perry's third season being named all conference as she was named to the third team after her freshman campaign. Ryan, a first-year defender, was a stalwart for a Roanoke defense that posted a .59 goals against average on their way to posting shutouts in 10 of their 13 wins.

A trio of Maroons were named to the All ODAC Third team. Hailey Davis was the leading goal scorer for RC. The senior finished the year ninth in the ODAC with eight goals and her six game winning goals were third best in the league. Fellow senior Kathryn Van Orden scored five goals with an assist. The forward had two game winning goals, in addition, was third on the team in goals, points, shots, and shots on goal. Ellie Schad returned to the All ODAC third team, an honor that she also received in 2017. Schad was second to Daivs in goals, points, shots, and game winning goals in the final team statistics while ranking in the top 15 in the ODAC in three different offensive categories.
