The Short Story: Johns Hopkins scored in the fourth minute of the game and finished with 11-0 goals as the Roanoke College women's soccer team dropped their first game of the season to the Blue Jays on the road in Baltimore.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blue Jays broke through in the first half with seven goals to take the lead. Breukelen Woodard scored the game winner at 3:15 in the opening period.
- Johns Hopkins added four goals in the second half en route to the win.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Three Blue Jays scored two goals apiece in the Johns Hopkins win.
- Taylor Gallik took the loss for the Maroons in goal playing the first 45 minutes, making one save.
- Victoria Correll and Carrington Lippi combined in the net for Roanoke in the second half with Lippi making one save.
- The Blue Jays had a narrow 3-2 edge in saves, but outshot the Maroons 26-8. All of Roanoke's eight shots came in the second half.
