The Lead: Bridgewater slipped past Roanoke 5-4 in Wednesday ODAC Women's Tennis action.
How it Happened:
- Bridgewater won the first two doubles matches with an 8-5 win from Jamiah Lewis and Whitney Kiser over RC's Jessica Kennedy and Avery Smith at No. 1.
- Janny Alvarado and Carolyn Kitsock closed doubles with an 8-3 win over Rachel Zarin and Rachel Crawford at the No. 3 spot to close BC's lead to 2-1
- At the No. 3 singles, Avery Smith defeated Lewis 6-4, 6-4 followed by Madeline Herring at No. 4 with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Stephanie Barton.
- Kitsock won 6-2, 6-4 over Shannon Quinn in the fifth spot to even the match at 4-4 but Bridgewater's Crawford defeated Alvarado 5-7, 6-3, 6-1 to take the match.
