The Lead: Lynchburg won five of the six singles matches en route to a 7-2 ODAC win over Roanoke in women's tennis.

How it Happened

  • Lynchburg led 2-1 after doubles play as the Hornets pick up wins at No. 1 and No. 3.
  • The Maroons got a win at No. 2 doubles as Janny Alvarado and Carolyn Kitsock knocked off Ellen Druebbisch and Sarah Wyly 8-2.
  • Kitsock would then pick up RC's lone win in singles play as she was able to defeat Wyly 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2.
  • The Hornets would seal the win by winning the remaining five singles matches, all in straight sets.
