The Lead: Jennifer Calascione set a school record in the discus at the Phoenix Invitational Saturday at Elon.
Highlights:
- Calascione broke the school record in the discus with a throw of 41.62m. Calascione followed that performance with a mark of 12.12m in the shot put.
- Jayna Jean-Jules tossed a 47.49m in the hammer for seventh place.
- In the hammer, Kyle Bland finished 14th with a mark of 36.38m.
- Kaleb Bland took 12th in the shot put with a mark of 12.51m.
- Hannah Koepfinger registered a mark of 9.96m in the triple jump for 10th place. Koepfinger then went on to clock a 16.32 in the 100m hurdles and a 1:06.55 in the 400m hurdles.
- In the 400m, Micah Ray finished in 50.87 for 18th place.
- Cliff Schwabauer took 18th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:01.72.
