The Lead: Roanoke evened its ODAC record with a 3-0 victory on the road at Emory & Henry on Tuesday night.
How it Happened:
- RC's Linsey Bailey posted a match-high 13 kills and tacked on eight digs while Sydney Daniel had 10 kills, 10 digs, and four blocks
- Olivia Newman dished-out 28 assists while Angel Ross had five kills and four aces.
- With the score 10-10 in the first set, RC used a 7-3 run to take a 17-13 lead following a Daniel kill.
- RC led 18-15 and reeled off seven straight points, taking the set after a Ross kill.
- In set two, RC used a 9-0 run, taking a 13-6 lead on a Parker Moody kill.
- With the score 20-14, RC scored five straight points to take the set, capped by a kill from Daniel.
- The final set was tight with neither team able to open up more than a four-point lead. With the score 22-21 RC, the Maroons closed out the match after getting a pair of kills from Bailey.
