The Lead: Roanoke defeated Ferrum in straight sets in their first game of Saturday's ODAC Tri-Match in Salem.
How it Happened:
- Sydney Daniel led the way with 16 kills, Linsey Bailey had 13 digs, Olivia Newman had 27 assists and Parker Moody tallied nine aces.
- The Maroons hit .300 on the match, with Daniel hitting .429 with only one attack error on 35 attempts.
- Roanoke scored eight straight points in the first set, with four different Maroons recording kills, to extend the lead to 23-9.
- In the second set, RC used a 15-2 run to jump out to a 19-5 advantage behind three aces from Moody.
- Daniel tallied three straight kills during a 13-1 run in the third set, another Daniel kill capped the run to make it 21-7.
- Moody served for a combined 32 times for the Maroons, finishing with 16 straight serves in the final set with a pair of aces for the final two points.

The Lead: Randolph-Macon got 12 kills from Miranda Hall as R-MC topped Roanoke 3-0 to close out the ODAC Tri-Match.
How it Happened:
- Roanoke jumped out to a 19-12 lead in set one following a Bailey kill. R-MC then rattled off seven straight points to tie the set at 19-19.
- With the score 24-23 Roanoke, R-MC rallied to score three straight points to take the set.
- RC hit just .033 in the second set, while the Yellow Jackets hit .312 as a team. R-MC ran out to a 13-5 lead, then used a 5-0 run later in the set to push in front 20-8 as they went on for the 25-12 victory.
- In the third set, R-MC got out to an 11-4 lead following a Mariah Clark kill. RC rallied and cut the Jackets' lead to 24-21, but a Miranda Hall kill sealed the match win for Randolph-Macon.
- Bailey finished with 12 kills for RC and Moody had eight. Newman had 29 assists, while Tori Clinevell led four Maroons in double-digit digs with 13.
