The Lead: Roanoke opened up play at the Maroon Classic with a 3-1 win over Mary Baldwin.
How it Happened:
- Roanoke hit at a .371 clip and notched 16 kills as it took game one 25-13. With the score 7-4, RC went on an 8-1 run, opening up a 15-5 lead on a Keely Scott kill.
- In game two, RC was up 7-3 before back-to-back kills by Scott sparked what proved to be an 18-6 Maroon run to close the game.
- Mary Baldwin would squeeze out a 25-23 win in game three by taking advantage of 12 hitting errors by the Maroons.
- RC came back in game four and closed out the match with a 25-9 win. RC jumped out to a 15-5 lead following a Scott kills then would finish the match with back-to-back aces from Kennedy Clemmer.
- Linsey Bailey had a match-high 18 kills, while Parker Moody and Telia Harris each had 10 kills. Logan Pasley had 20 assists, and Bailey led the defense with 18 digs.

The Lead: The Maroons dominated at the net hitting .280 during a 3-0 sweep of the Scots.
How it Happened:
- Roanoke raced out to a 9-0 start aided by three consecutive service aces by Pasley and held off Maryville for a 1-0 advantage.
- The Scots opened the second with back-to-back points before the Maroons answered, taking 10 of the next 13 points to seize control of the second set. 16 kills with just a single error would allow the MAroons to cruise to a 2-0 lead.
- Maryville would once again enjoy an early edge, 14-10, however, Roanoke closed the set on a 15-7 run, lead by Bailey and six of her match high 21 kills.
- Pasley handed out 15 assists with Olivia Newman adding 11. Pasley added five service aces and Harris had a pair of solo blocks.
Up next: Roanoke will look to add to their current win streak with two more matches tomorrow. The Maroons play host to Piedmont at 11:00am before wrapping up tournament play against Greensboro College at 5:00pm.
