The Lead: Washington and Lee knocked off Roanoke 3-0 Tuesday night in ODAC volleyball.
How it Happened
- After a Parker Moody kill made it a 16-13 game in favor of W&L, the Generals scored six of the next seven points to go up 22-14. RC would cut it to 23-17 but W&L scored two of the final three points to take game one.
- In game two, Washington and Lee jumped out to an 8-1 lead and then would score the final five points to secure the game, 25-13.
- With the score 9-5 in game three, Washington and Lee went on an 8-2 run to go up 17-7 en route to securing the ODAC victory.
- Linsey Bailey led the Maroons with seven kills, while Moody and Telia Harris each had five kills. Logan Pasley had nine assists to lead RC. Kennedy Clemmer finished with 13 digs for Roanoke.
- Leah Green and Courtney Berry each had nine kills for the Generals.
Up Next: Roanoke is back in action tomorrow at home against Hollins at 6:30 p.m.
