How it Happened

  • Holloman got RC on the board just 2:33 into the game on Saturday before Stacey Staley made it 2-0 just 1:10 later.
  • Staley got her second goal of the day at the 11:47 mark and Kellie Jasinski made it 4-0 exactly one minute later.
  • The score stayed that way until Katerina DeSimone scored the first of three Maroon goals in just over an 11 minute span of the second-half with Fiona Dougan making it 7-0 in 49th minute.
  • Alicia Meier scored to make it 8-0 before Holloman tallied the record-breaker in the 62nd minute when she wove through traffic in front of cage and chipped a shot past SBC keeper Emily Dodson.
  • Roanoke outshot Sweet Briar 34-0. Dodson made 13 saves for SBC.

Up Next: Roanoke will be back in action on Wednesday when it hosts Washington and Lee at 7:00 p.m. in a key ODAC game.
