How it Happened

  • Goals by Emerson Foster and Lilly Blair gave Roanoke a 2-0 lead less than five minutes into the game.
  • With the score 3-2 Maroons, Molly Kasemeyer scored at the 17:50 mark in what would prove a 11-0 run for the Maroons that saw Foster and Blair each score three times as the RC opened up a 14-2 lead.
  • Blair scored 52 seconds into the second half before Foster scored at the 24:13 mark to make it a 16-3 contest.
  • Bailey de Turo added a goal and Blair tacked on two more to account for the final scoring for the Maroons.
  • Blair finished with seven goals, Foster had five and de Turo, Jenna Kuczo and Ellie Armstrong each had a pair of scores for RC.
  • Carly Schoudel had four saves for the Maroons and Foster grabbed six draw controls.
  • RC outshot Sewanee 32-9 and had a 17-9 lead in groundballs.
