The Lead:  Lucy Perry scored a goal and had an assist as Roanoke topped Maryville 2-0 on Sunday.

How it Happened:

• Roanoke got its first goal in the 17^th minute when a cross off the foot of Perry and found Tori Young who scored to make it 1-0 Maroons.
• The match stayed that way through halftime before RC doubled its advantage just over two minutes after the intermission when Perry headed home a corner kick from Jillian Barnard.
• The match then went into a lightning delay for close to 90 minutes before the teams returned to the field only to have it called with 17:21 left on the clock.
• RC outshot Maryville 10-5 and held a 5-0 edge in corner kicks.
• Chris Martin made two saves for RC, while Abbey Coleman turned away four shots for the Scots.
