The Lead: Women's Soccer dropped a 2-0 decision to Carnegie Mellon Sunday in the final game of the Roanoke Invitational.
How it Happened:
- Carnegie Mellon broke open the scoring as Daisy Gollis scored with four minutes remaining in the first half to give the Tartans a 1-0 lead.
- The Tartans doubled their lead in the second half as Tara Durstewitz found the back of the net at the 76-minute mark.
- Roanoke took five shots on the night while Carnegie Mellon took eight. The Tartans also held a three to one edge in corners.
- Chris Martin made two saves on the night for the Maroons while Carolyn Botz made three for Carnegie Mellon.
