RC fell in the final of the Transylvania Invitational

The Lead: Sunday marked the third and final day of the Transylvania Invitational as RC faced Ohio Northern. The Polar Bears swept the doubles matches en route to the 9-0 win.
Highlights:
- At #1 doubles, the team of Carolyn Kitsock and Madeline Herring pushed Kaleigh Cummins and Sanchez to a 6-6 tie, before falling 8-6.
- Kitsock would take the first set at #1 singles, 6-1, but a rally by Olivia Schrager forced a third set tie-breaker. The two would battle back and forth and the 10-point tie-breaker would be knotted at 12-12 before Schrager put together consecutive points to win the tie-breaker, 14-12.
Up next: The Maroons will travel to Hilton Head Island for a Spring Break Event that will include a quartet of matches. RC will face Wilkes on Monday, March 2nd.
