Senior Spotlight - RC Tennis

The Roanoke College Tennis Programs and the entire Department of Athletics would like to take this time to honor our tthree seniors that have meant so much to the programs.

Meet the Roanoke College Tennis Class of 2020:

Carolyn Kitsock (Lancaster, Pa.)

Major/Plans for the future:
Communications Major, Marketing Concentration I will be working in Property Management Leasing for High Associates, headquartered in  Lancaster, PA.

Best memories:
The sweet taste of Full Moon chocolate chip cookies after a hard earned W.

Why I chose Roanoke:
Roanoke had a warm and inviting feel with opportunities for the competitive academic and athletic experience I was looking for.

Own words to future RC athletes in their sport:
Every spot on the team is valuable. Your spot isn't permanent, your mentality and work ethic are important. Contribute how you can, listen to your coach, and get better for yourself and your team.

Madeline Herring (Lexington, Ky.)

Major: health and exercise science

Plans following graduation:
Graduate school at Bellarmine for Doctor of Physical Therapy

Best memories:
spring break this year, sophomore year beating Lynchburg when they were undefeated (I clinched in 3 sets)

Why I chose Roanoke:
chose it because the people on campus made it home on my visit. I had family ties here which made it more special to have found a place I loved right away with a lot of history.

Own words to future RC athletes:
cherish the time you have. Work hard even when you don't want to because one day you'll never play tennis in this setting again or have a coach to help you.
