Bailey Named All-American by the AVCA

Salem, Va—Roanoke College standout Linsey Bailey has been named an Honorable Mention All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). Bailey becomes the first Maroon in program history to earn this honor. 

Bailey's All-American recognition caps a postseason that saw her named AVCA All-Region, the ODAC Rookie of the Year and First-Team All-ODAC.

The Fincastle, Va. native made an immediate impact for RC by leading the ODAC in kills with 418 and kills per game with 4.45. Her .255 hitting percentage ranks ninth best in the ODAC. Defensively she posted 339 digs and 3.61 digs per set which both rank 14th in the league.  A three-time ODAC Player of the Week, Bailey had double-digit kills in all but two of the 27 matches she played in. She had 18 double-doubles on the year and 20 or more kills on six different occasions.
