 The Lead: Roanoke recorded three top-15 finishes in its season-opener at West Virginia Tech Friday night.

Highlights:

• Hannah Koepfinger led the way for the women with a 12^th place finish with a time of 16:47.3.
• Alexis Mattson took 25^th, in the field of 69 runners, crossing the finish line with a time of 14:41.
• With a time of 18:29.0, Olivia Farley took 38^th followed by Carly Schepacarter with a time of 19:22.8.
• Peter Smith led the Maroons on the men's side with a top-ten finish time of 12:28.2, taking eighth.
• Chamberlain Zulauf finished just 12 seconds later in 13^th with a time of 12:40.3.
• With a time of 13:05.1, Nathaniel Willis finished 28^th in the field of 87 runners.
