January 14, 2022 update to RC spectator policy

Roanoke College Director of Athletics Scott Allison has announced an updated spectator policy for the 2022 Winter and Spring seasons.

Roanoke College welcomes spectators to indoor home athletic events while following procedures and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of the college community and our region.

  • All individuals entering campus buildings are required to wear masks regardless of their vaccination status. Masks must fully cover the mouth and nose. This includes any basketball, track meets, and wrestling matches in the Cregger Center.

  • Spectators must remain masked within all areas of The Cregger Center and the C. Homer Bast Recreation and Athletics Center.

  • Any individual who is feeling unwell should not attend an athletic event. For Video Broadcast information, check our Watch and Listen page on the Roanoke College Athletics Website.

The safety and health of the campus community and local community are of the utmost importance at Roanoke College. Individuals failing to adhere to these guidelines will be asked to leave the venue by game management staff.

This spectator policy is subject to change if the situation surrounding COVID-19 and the Omicron variant changes locally and nationally. Please check roanokemaroons.com or more news and follow us on TwitterInstagram, and Facebook for the latest updates.
