Recognized as a leader on the varsity football teams where he played tail back and safety, Andrews rugged and tenacious play was an inspiration to his teammates. On the baseball field, he excelled in the outfield and as a batter
Also a leader in the student body and a member of Blue Key, Andrews was elected president of Monogram Club for 1940 and ’41.
In his professional career, he has been an attorney, County Judge, member of Virginia State Bar, American Bar Association, and Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.
