Guilfordā??s Rally in the Eighth Downs Roanoke

GREENSBORO, NC --- Relief pitching continues to be the Achilles' heel for the Roanoke College baseball team as they blew a three-run lead to Guilford, 17-12 in ODAC action. The loss dropped the Maroons to 7-14, 2-7 in the conference.
 
The Maroons did everything they could offensively, as they produced 13 hits and scored 12 runs. Roanoke even scored six runs in the top of the seventh inning and built a four-run lead, 12-8.
 
Noah Davidson led the Maroons with two doubles, two runs and two RBI. Alan Moore collected two hits with three runs and an RBI. Lance Firebaugh drove in two runs off two hits and a run scored. Brad Greenway and Jay Laramore both had two hits, an RBI and a run scored.
 
Cody Kidd (1-5) took the loss for Roanoke but John Terlesky pitched four innings with only three hits and one run while striking out two.
 
The men will play Bridgewater this Saturday in an ODAC doubleheader. Prior to the start of the game, former player and 2008 graduate Dan Fallen and junior shortstop Graham Thacker will be recognized for their All-ODAC performances last spring. Game time is scheduled for noon.
