Graham Thacker Honorable Mention All-ODAC

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced sophomore Graham Thacker as honorable mention All-ODAC while senior Dan Fallen was named to the ODAC Sportsmanship team yesterday. It was the first time that both were recognized with an award in their careers.
 
Thacker, from Forrest, Va. had a sensational sophomore campaign with the Maroons. He broke the school-record in batting average (.421), at bats (140) and hits with 59. He led the Maroons in RBI (31), total bases (73), doubles (12) and sacrifices with six. He finished the season on a 10-games hit streak. He was also second on the team in runs (27), slugging percentage (.521) and on base percentage (.471). He was the only player to play and start in all 36 games.
 
Fallen had the best season of his career as a senior. He stepped up at third base when sophomore Alan Moore went down with a shoulder injury and played in 25 games, starting 19 times. He finished the year second in batting (.397) with 23 hits, 11 runs, four doubles and four RBI. He led the Maroons in on base percentage (.478).
 
The Maroons finished 15-21, tied for the second-highest win total in the seven-year history of the program and the third time with 15 or more wins in the last five seasons. The season was highlighted with eight ODAC wins which tied the school-record and defeated both Lynchburg and Ferrum for the first time in school-history.
