Baseball Home Opener Moved to Friday, February 15th at 4:00 PM
The Roanoke College baseball team opens up home play against Frostburg State University this weekend, on Friday, February 15th at 4:00 PM at Kiwanis Field.  The game was originally scheduled for Saturday at Noon, but due to the potential weather issues, the game has been pushed up to Friday.

As of Wednesday, the weather called for potential snow on Saturday, forcing both schools to move up the date of the double header.  If the weather does not pose a problem on Saturday, the teams will play one game starting at Noon on Saturday, February 16th.

The Maroons have opened up the season with a record of 1-2 and are coming off of a victory over Ferrum College this past week.  In the top of the ninth inning, Boonewell Hagy hit an RBI single to left field scoring Jacob Mattox from second to secure the win for Roanoke.

First Team All-ODAC selection, Brian Kluge currently holds a .417 batting average, along with a team high five hits, four runs and two RBI.  The contest will also mark the home debut of Roanoke head coach Matt McGuire.

The double header will also be available on http://maroons.roanoke.edu/showcase, so whether you can come out to the game or not, you will still be able to see the Maroons in their home opener.
