Three Maroons Named to 2014 Baseball All-ODAC Teams
FOREST - Three Roanoke College baseball players were named to the 2014 All-ODAC teams announced Friday.  Junior Cameron Holshouser earned Second Team All-ODAC honors, while freshmen Will Black and Will Decker earned Third Team All-ODAC nods.

In the second year of Matt McGuire's tenure as head coach of the Maroon Baseball Program, Roanoke earned 16 wins.  The Maroons 16 wins in the season ties the second most single-season wins by a Maroon club, matching the 2004 and 2012 seasons.

Cameron Holshouser - Starting Pitcher - Junior
Holshouser, a junior from Salem, earned his first All-ODAC nod with Second Team honors.  He finished the 2014 season with 13 appearances with nine games started.  He pitched three complete games and posted a team best 3.26 ERA.  Over 58.0 innings pitched, Holshouser struck out 51 batters, with an opponent batting average of .244.  His performance in the 2014 season ranks in the top five in four different single season categories in Roanoke College history.  He is second all-time in single season complete games (3), third in strikeouts (51), fourth in lowest ERA (3.26), and fifth in lowest opponent batting average (.244).  He also ranks in the top five in six different all-time categories including lowest career ERA (2nd - 3.98), lowest opponent batting average (2nd - .240) and strikeouts (5th - 110).

Will Black - C - Freshman
Will Black, a freshman from Richmond, earned his first All-ODAC selection as a member of the Third Team.  Black manned the duties behind the plate in 30 games this season, starting all of the games in which he played.  Over those 30 games, he put up a .355 batting average.  In 2014 he had 31 runs off 39 hints, with 18 RBIs.  His 31 runs this season led the Maroons in the category, while he was second in hits.  In just his freshman year, he ranks in the top-five all-time at Roanoke in four single-season categories.  He ranks first in throwing people out in stealing attempts, gunning down 18 runners.  He also ranks third in single-season walks (20), fourth in stolen bases (9) and fifth in runs scored (31).

Will Decker - DH - Freshman
Decker, a freshman from Charlottesville, picks up his first All-ODAC pick with Third Team accolades.  Decker played in 33 games in his debut season, starting in 31 of those contests.  He led the team in at-bats with 125, picking up 25 runs off 38 hits.  He also finished with a team high 11 doubles, and was second on the squad with five home runs, which ranked 8th in the ODAC.  Also, Decker ranked seventh in the ODAC in sacrifice fly balls with four on the season.  His 32 RBIs for the year also ranked 10th in the conference, while his 11 doubles placed him 11th among ODAC competitors.
