The All-Region teams for baseball were announced and when the D3baseball All-South Region and American Baseball Coaches Association All-South Region were named, Roanoke College sophomore Carter Plunkett was named 1st Team as a Designated Hitter.

Plunkett, a 1st team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) selection, earned the regional honor after completing a season that would see the Roanoke native being ranked in the top 10 in the conference in several offensive categories. Plunkett posted a batting average of .405, slugging percentage .702, 49 hits, 37 RBI, 16 doubles, and six home runs all ranked in the top 10 of the final ODAC statistics. Carter posted his impressive numbers in just 31 games and helped to guide the Maroons to the #3 overall seed in the final ODAC standings and a 23-10 record, 15-4 in conference play.
