Race Reports:

Ben Cerkovnik: I had no idea what to expect for my first road race, but I knew the course was flat and fast. For the first lap I just stayed within my limits shifting back and forth through the pack. The second lap I decided to move to the front in case there were any moves that made it off the front. Once I got to the front I went and set the pace at the front for about 5 minutes in the wind. My legs were starting to get exhausted, but when the pack accelerated I was able to stay up front. On the final stretch leading into the finish I was feeling good, but someone crashed in front of me forcing me off the road. I'm excited for the rest of the season.

Kelby Hanson: Going into the race I was a little worried because I was sick all week and I hadn't trained at all, so I didn't expect much. The races were fast, too fast to keep up this time! I hope to have better luck in the next races. It was a great experience being with the team for the first race of the season.

Rafe Johnson: The race weekend was definitely an awesome experience.  I got to see what road racing is like and I'm proud to say that I finished both of my races! Despite getting dropped early, I had so much fun. I know if I put more time into my training, I can be better in the next race.  It was so cool to see our mechanic Ron, race hard and fast in the Cat 3 criterium.  I hope to race like him soon!
