Roanoke Goalie Ranked Nationally

Salem, VA --- The Roanoke College field hockey team is ranked 40th in the NCAA Division III rankings for the second-straight week with an average of 8.29 saves per game.   The women are 2-12 overall and 1-4 in the ODAC.

Cristina Scichilone has been a predominant factor in this effort with an average of 7.92 saves per game. She stands 41st in the national rankings. Scichilone is also fourth in the ODAC in saves per game.

The Maroons are led offensively by Mariah Vietri and Emily Huston.  Vietri has scored six goals, one assist and 13 points this season. Huston has scored four goals and tallied 12 points. Both women scored and tallied assists in the win over ODAC rival Bridgewater College on Oct. 17.
 
The women return to ODAC competition on Wednesday as they host Sweet Briar.  Game time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
