FREDERICKSBURG - Roanoke Field Hockey fell to Mary Washington 8-0 in non-conference action.  The Maroons move to 0-3 on the season, while the Eagles advance to 2-0

Top performances from Mary Washington include a three goal night from Lisa Charney, while Caitlin Baker tallied three assists.

Marceline Piek led Roanoke in shots with two.  Darian Shuker and Candice Fisher both split time in goal for the Maroons.  Shuker tallied six saves while Fisher finished with three.  Stacey Bechtel had the team's lone defensive save.

The Maroons take a brief hiatus before opening up ODAC play against #7 ranked Lynchburg College.  The contest will take place in Lynchburg on Wednesday, September 12th at 7:00 PM
