The Lead: Maggie Waxter scored two goals to lead Washington and Lee to a 2-0 ODAC Field Hockey win over Roanoke Wednesday evening in Lexington.
 
How it Happened:

• It was a back and forth, scoreless battle for all of the first-half until with 35 seconds remaining a W&L shot from outside the circle was intentionally let in the RC cage but the umpire ruled Waxter deflected the ball, thus making it 1-0 Generals.

• The match stayed that way until the 48:32 mark when Waxter got her second goal of the match to push the Washington and Lee advantage to 2-0.
• RC got seven saves in the cage from Heather Schauder, while W&L got a pair of saves from Ariyel Yavalar in the shutout. 
• Washington and Lee outshot RC 15-6 and held a 7-4 edge in penalty corners.
