Roanoke one of Three ODAC Teams Received Votes in D3Hoops Top-25 Poll

Roanoke received 14 votes to remain in the D3Hoops Top-25 Poll announced this morning. The Maroons remained in the poll for the eighth-straight week.
Roanoke is one of three ODAC teams in the poll that received votes with Guilford leading the pack with 27 votes. Randolph-Macon is behind the Maroons with three votes.
The men fell to Guilford, 77-72 on the road and defeated Lynchburg, 86-75 at home last week. They are 16-4 overall with an 8-3 mark in the ODAC, currently third in the latest conference standings.
Curtis Peery leads Roanoke with 18.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 104 free-throws made and an 83.2% free-throw percentage. He just finished a 28-point performance including 18 free-throws made, both career-highs. The 18 free throws made were the most by a Roanoke player in the Div. III era. Parrish Walker is second in scoring (11.3 ppg), free-throws made (46) and field goals made (83) while leading the Maroons in steals with 42. He is coming off a 15-point performance and tied a career-high six steals against Lynchburg.
This week's opponent on the Maroons docket is Randolph-Macon on Wednesday evening in Ashland, Va. Feb. 4 in a pivotal ODAC match-up. Roanoke is 74-67 all-time against the R-MC but the Yellow Jackets have won 16 of the last 17 meetings since 2001. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
