On Saturday, January 19^th, the Roanoke College men's basketball team will host Maroon Madness in the Bast Center Gym. The Maroons will be taking on Old Dominion Athletic Conference opponent Virginia Wesleyan at 2:00 PM.

BIG GAME FOR THE MAROONS
The men's basketball team took on Virginia Wesleyan in the first Old Dominion Athletic Conference game of the season, pushing the then #2 ranked Marlins to their limit. The Maroons fell 73-67 in the game, but showed that they could hang with one of the top teams in the NCAA. Now the Marlins come to the Bast Center on January 19th, unranked, and the Maroons have another shot at taking down the top team in the ODAC.

FREE TAILGATE

Come out before the game starting at 12:00 PM to enjoy a FREE tailgate! We will have food fired up on the grill, as well as hot chocolate and cider. There will also be a beer garden with $3 adult beverages for those 21 or older. Giveaways and games will be available at the tailgate including: t-shirts, rally towels, cornhole, and ladder golf.

CONTESTS

In the parking lot during the tailgate, there will be two different shooting contets. First there will be a three-point shoot out, followed by a slam-dunk contest. During halftime of the men's basketball game we will have a knock out contest. For those wanting to participate for the contests, you must sign up during the tailgate. Prizes (including gift cards) will be awarded for the first and second place winners.

During the game there will also be a raffle for great prizes, including an iPad Mini!

RC SCHOOL SPIRIT

Also in attendance will be the RC Spirit team, as well as the pep band. We will also recognize the fall and spring sports athletes and their accomplishments over the past year. So be sure to come out to the Bast Center on Saturday, January 19^th, wear your maroon and support all Roanoke College athletics at Maroon Madness!
