The Maroons defeated Bridgewater College on Tuesday night, 76-68 to advance to the ODAC Quarterfinals. The Tigers, who tied for the best record in conference play, advanced to Friday's game with a first-round bye.

Roanoke and Hampden-Sydney both lead the conference in all-time ODAC Championships with 10 each. The Maroons won seven-consecutive ODAC Titles from 1981-87 with their most recent in 2000.

In the opening round game against Bridgewater, Daniel Eacho tied his career-high scoring with 23 points, while shattering his career-high in rebounds pulling down a new ODAC Tournament record 22 rebounds. The single-tournament record stands at 43 rebounds, and to reach the top-10 all time he would need 10 more rebounds through Roanoke's run in the tournament. Eacho is the second leading rebounder in the ODAC, pulling down 8.6 rebounds per contest.

The Maroons also have the third leading scorer in the conference in Kwasi Amponsah, who tallies 17.3 points per game. Amponsah ranks second in total free throws made, knocking down 127 this season. He ranks 17th all-time in career points at Roanoke, with 1,287 to his name, and needs 18 points to move up the list and pass John Mongero '67 (1,304).

Hampden-Sydney enters Friday's game ranked #12 in the most recent d3hoops.com poll. The Tigers finished the 2012-13 regular season with a record of 22-3 and a 12-1 mark in ODAC play. They are led in scoring by Harrison George, who nets 16.3 points per game and has 6.3 rebounds per contest. He is followed in scoring by Khobi Williamson who finished the regular season with 14.7 points per game and a team high 6.4 rebounds per game.
