Gwin, Amponsah Earn All-ODAC Honors in 2012-13
FOREST – Roanoke College junior, Paxton Gwin, was named to the All-ODAC First Team, while senior Kwasi Amponsah was named to the All-ODAC Second Team.  Gwin earned Third Team All-ODAC honors in the 2011-12 season, while Amponsah was also All-ODAC Second Team during the 2011-12 season.

Gwin, a native of Buxton, NC, was the Maroons top scorer in the 2012-13 season.  She finished the year tallying 413 points, which gives her 873 leading into her senior season.  At the end of Roanoke's final game of the season, she ranked fourth in the ODAC in scoring, netting 15.9 points per game.  Gwin led the Maroons in scoring in 15 of their 27 games, and was the top rebounder in 14 of the contests.  She scored a career high 31-points in against Bridgewater on February 16th.  Gwin compiled four double-doubles over the course of the season, making seven total for her career.  In the last five games of the season, she was 28-29 from the free throw line, including a 10-10 mark on February 16th.

Amponsah, a Woodbridge, VA native, wass the third leading scorer in the ODAC, tallying 17.3 points per game.  He also ranks third in the ODAC in total points (433), while sitting ninth in steals with 44.  Amponsah also sits seventh in both field goals made (129) and three-point field goals made (48).  He has made 127 free throws this season, which places him second amongst all players in the conference, and he is ninth in free throw percentage (75.1).
 
Amponsah ranks 17th all-time in career points at Roanoke with 1,291 to his name.  He also lists at fifth on the all-time three-point percentage, knocking down .392 of his attempts from behind the arc.  His 47 three-pointers this sesason rank 14th on the all-time single season list.  Amponsah is 10th all-time in free throws made at Roanoke, hitting 322 in his four years at Roanoke, and is sixth in steals (171).
