FOREST - Roanoke junior, Daniel Eacho was named ODAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, announced Monday.  He is the first Maroon to garner the honor since Julian Ramirez earned the award on December 17th, 2012.

Eacho, a junior from North Chesterfield, Va., led the Maroons to a trio of wins over the past week, including two in the 2014 Dick Leftwich V-Foundation Classic.  He closed 2013 with a bang, notching 28 points and 18 rebounds in an 82-74 victory over Frostburg St.  He was 10-of-15 from the field and 8-of-13 from the stripe, adding two blocks to his stat line.  In the first V-Foundation Classic game, Eacho registered 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting with six rebounds in a 70-61 triumph over Immaculata.  He followed that 14 points and seven boards with an assist and a steal in an 80-66 win over Ursinus.  He was 7-of-12 from the field in that contest.  For the season, Eacho is second in the ODAC in rebounding (10.0 rpg) and third in scoring (18.0 ppg).
 
The Maroons return to action on Wednesday, January 8th as they travel to Ashland to take on Randolph-Macon in ODAC action.  That contest is scheduled for a 7:00 PM start.
