Maroons Score 104 in Senior Day Victory over Hampden-Sydney
SALEM – The Roanoke College men's basketball team won big on Saturday afternoon in the final game of the regular season, defeating Hampden-Sydney 104-80.  The Maroons enter the ODAC Tournament with a record of 12-12, 6-10 in the ODAC, while the Tigers finish the regular season with a mark of 13-12, 7-9 in ODAC play.

Roanoke now has an all-time 92-80 record against Hampden-Sydney, with this being the Maroons first win over the tigers since December 3, 2008.  104 points is the sixth most points ever put up against Hampden-Sydney by Roanoke College in the long history that reaches back to the 1916-17 season.  The last time Roanoke put up over 100 points on an opponent was January 22, 2011 as the Maroons defeated Bridgewater College, 108-98.  The win this afternoon was also Page Moir's 399th career victory, having won 12 games so far this season.  Moir looks for win number 400 in the opening round of the ODAC Tournament on Tuesday evening.

Six Maroons finished in double-figures on the night, with Daniel Eacho leading the pack.  Eacho finished with 22 points, hitting seven shots from the floor and shooting 8-9 from the free throw line.  He completed his seventh double-double of the season, pulling down 12 rebounds in the win.  Seth Bradley scored a career-high 19 points, shooting 4-7 from behind the arc and 7-10 from the floor.

In the next possession, Cameron Smith hit a jumper, followed by a pair of layups by Fitchett that put the Maroons ahead by five, 26-21 with 9:11 to play.  The Tigers would try to close the gap, getting as close as one point with 5:51 to play after a Murray free throw, 30-29.  Roanoke's lead grew to seven points before the half, as Humphries drained a three pointer with little time on the clock.  Hampden-Sydney dropped in a layup to close out the first half with Roanoke leading 46-41 at the break.

The teams traded three-pointers to open the second half, but Stefan Vulevic scord Roanoke's first eight points of the period.  After Vulevic hit his second three pointer of the half at 17:06, Roanoke held a 54-46 advantage.  Roanoke's lead grew to as many as nine through the 14:35 mark, as John Fitchett hit a jumper to take a 62-53 lead over the Tigers.  However, Hampden-Sydney fought back.  With 13:48 to play, Williamson started a 7-0 run with a layup, followed by five points from Mike Murray to get back within two, 65-63.  At the 9:17 mark, Seth Bradley hit a three-pointer to put the Maroons back up by nine again, 76-67.
